About Me

Currently living in Block, KS, as a proud father of two, I grew up loving all things country: hunting, fishing, horses, dirt bikes, and barbed wire. I have always been good with my hands and have enjoyed building things. I made my first knife-shaped object in 2012, just to say I did. Wanting to do things to the best of my abilities, I started researching. The deeper I dug, the more I wanted to continue. What I consider to be my first real knife, I made for a good friend in 2013. In 2014 I joined Kansas Custom Knifemakers Association. I am currently what is called a stock removal knife maker, grinding the blades to shape from a piece of stock metal. Though I don't currently forge many of my blades, I hope to improve in the art and even join the ABS as my skills allow.

The Process

I cut, grind, and shape most of my designs out of a piece of steel stock. The blades are then heat-treated and tempered for optimum performance. I currently work primarily in carbon steels like 1080, 15n20, and L6 and stainless steels like AEB-L and 13c26. I currently specialize in hunting knives, but plan on expanding to folders and kitchen cutlery as well. Most knives come with a handmade leather sheath and I also have the ability to make kydex sheaths.

My Product

Handcrafted, one-of-a-kind, American made! Not only do I continually strive to improve in all aspects of the trade, I stand behind what I do.
